The biggest annual youth justice event in Massachusetts is back and we are ready to make our voices heard. Our demands are;
1. Getting $14 Million Dollars for Youth Works
3. Having the Raise The Age Bill passed.
In order to be fully engaged with the rally here's some more information on who we are as I Have A Future and what this rally really means:
We are a statewide community of hundreds of young people and allies, organizing to build power to win youth jobs and end youth criminalization. We believe that the DREAMS of young people are not acknowledged in today's society and we need to be change that. Young people are the FUTURE, and they are fighting for the DREAM of a state where all youthhave equal opportunities to thrive. The time to act is now, If you believe that the youth are the FUTURE, then let us create a state of opportunity in MA.
Rally day is always a well-mapped and busy day. Here's how the day is looking this year;
The rally will begin at 11:00 AM, and it'll include performances from local teens, speeches from local public figures, testimonies and more!
After we wrap up at Old South Church, we will march through Copley Sq and Downtown Boston, ending at the State House. At the State House, young people + adult allies will meet with elected officials to advocate for the Raise The Age legislation, Expungement & Youth Works funding.
We hope to see you all here at Old South Church on February 22nd!
