Join the in Boston to protest the inauguration and take leadership of our community in this moment of crisis.
The Jewish Federations of North America and Boston’s Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) have failed to meet IfNotNow’s demands to publicly denounce Trump and his appointment of Steven Bannon by the end of Chanukah. By embracing Trump, Bannon, and David Friedman, our Jewish institutions have proven they are willing to sacrifice the values and safety of the Jewish people. Their moral voice is corrupted by their lack of chutzpah in responding to the Trump administration, and by their ongoing support of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
As a generation of young Jews, we must be the moral leadership our community needs. We will say no to the incoming administration’s racist, Islamophobic, and anti-Semitic rhetoric and actions. We will not allow the Jewish establishment to fuel Trump’s vitriol in our name.
We know that our liberation will come from ending the occupation and all oppression, not from cozying up to power and letting it silence us.
We will gather as young Jews and allies of Boston to speak out, sing, join together in ritual, and fortify ourselves for the coming years. Together we will lead the Jewish community in resistance.
