The Boston Society of Architects’ Urban Design Committee will be holding a participatory workshop on the opportunities created by the new design direction of MassDOT’s I-90/Throat project.
Following a brief discussion of the project’s key issues and current direction, we will hold a mini-charrette, “zooming in” on a few specific conditions that offer important urban design opportunities for city building, expanding access and connectivity for pedestrians and bicyclists, and increasing the long term sustainability of the project.
The results of the session will be compiled as a set of recommendations for MassDOT and others to consider in their design process.
The event is free and open to the public, though prior registration at the BSA website is requested. Additional information to come with a link to register.
