Pride at Work: Being Out at Work Past & Present
Saturday, August 24
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Pride and the historic Stonewall Rebellion. As we celebrate how far the LGBTQ+ struggle has come we also acknowledge its history as a workers struggle. It is important to recognize the LGBTQ+ people’s contributions to the labor movement and our overlapping struggles. Learn more about LQBTQ+ labor leaders of the past and the current efforts of Pride at Work. The UMass Dartmouth Labor Education Center is indentifying people to interview for a collection of oral histories of organizers and activists involved in various social movement efforts. Come and share your stories of multi-issue organizing and intersectional activism.
Join Pride at Work Eastern Massachusetts activists, along with Camilo Viveiros, Labor Educator, of the UMass Dartmouth Labor Education Center in the Marc Jacobs Reading Room at the Provincetown Public Library on Saturday, August 24 at 3:00 pm.
