The #MeToo uprising is shedding light on what women have known for a long time. We have all been affected by sexual harassment and assault, and the sexism that runs deep in our society.
With the recent youth uprising against gun violence, we also know that women in the US are 16 times more likely to be killed with a gun than women in other high-income countries, making the US the most dangerous in the developed world when it comes to gun violence against women.
For too long it’s been unsafe for women to walk alone at night. So to celebrate International Women’s Day, we will be “Taking Back the Night.” Join us for a rally with powerful speakers and a march from Brigham Circle to Symphony T Station to take a stand against rape culture, sexism in all its forms, and gun violence.
