One of the items we will take up at the annual meeting includes proposed amendments to our by-laws. Primarily we are proposing a section regarding vacancies and removal, expanded the Affirmative Action section, and cleaned up the form of the by-laws.
The Annual Meeting will run from 10-11:40 am. Agenda items include the following (not necessarily in this order):
3. Treasurer’s Report
4. Vote on vice-chair
5. Review of draft amendments to the by-laws (see attached)
6. Discussion of 2020 campaigns
7. Democrat of the Year discussion
8. Kennedy Institute discussion
9. Regular meetings/social networking discussion
10. Updates from Sen. Jo Comerford and Rep. Lindsay Sabadosa
11. Review and discussion of the delegate selection process

The Caucus, also to be held in the Community Room, will begin at 11:45 am. We will elect delegates and alternates to the 2019 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention, which will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
The caucus is open to all. Any Northampton resident who is a pre-registered or a registered Democrat at the time of the Caucus is eligible to vote for and/or run as a delegate. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 16 years old by May 11, 2019 will be allowed to participate and run as for delegate or alternate delegate. Youth, minorities, and people with disabilities who are not elected as delegates or alternates may apply to be “add-on” delegates.
